W  H  E  R  E     A  R  E     W  E     G  O  I  N  G  ?

Danny here…

I’m an idealist, serial entrepreneur, global humanitarian, and a free thinker who pushes beyond the norms, always searching for a better version of myself that will allow me to serve others at my most optimum level. And I just so happen to be the founder and creator of Black Girls Travel Too.

At the top of March 2020, I found myself sitting in my Dallas, Texas home looking at the same 4 walls day in and day out. Thinking… What’s next? Where do I go from here? What will the world be like a year from now?

I’m sure many of my thoughts took up residency within your mind as well.

I’d been keeping up with the destinations in which we offer experiences to and made a decision one week prior to my departure that the beautiful island of Barbados had proven itself to be where I could find solace and a moment to just breath, to free myself of the innate suffocating nuances of global injustice within the black community, to get my groove of creativity back, and to go on a new journey in search of a better quality of life.

If you’re thinking anything like I was keep scrolling.

I decided the time was now. No more toying with the idea of my desires but taking immediate action.  I stood on top of the shoulders of faith and made the decision I was leaving.  I’ve had enough and I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt my journey was awaiting my arrival. I kept quiet and only shared with my immediate family of my departure to avoid the naysayers.

I’m sure we all know a handful of those who will talk us out of our greatness. But not this time. My journey was mine, and mine alone.

Days later I boarded a flight to Barbados and haven’t looked back since.  I’ve found my peace, that book I was working on is more than 75% complete, and I am no longer in search of a better quality of life, because I’ve found it. I’ve even picked up a new and refreshing habit, hiking. Who would have ever thought? Me facing my fears of heights unapologetically. Pushing and challenging myself daily. And most of all, discovering myself on a deeper and more intimate level.

So you may be asking yourself, what does this have to do with me?

My response, everything… Everything you’ve been asking for is on the other side of discomfort, unfamiliarity, but what if and more. If you are still reading this and have been on the sidelines of defeat, watching someone else live the life you so desire, it is your time to put your own self in the game.

Imagine joining the Black Girls Travel Too newest addition, the Journey To Expat Barbados Experience. A three to six-month expatriation program, right here on the beautiful island of Barbados. A 21-by-14 mile Caribbean paradise that embodies crystal blue waters, fine powdery sand, brilliant turquoise bays, and smashing nightlife, situated in the North Atlantic Ocean as the easternmost island of the Lesser Antilles in the West Indies. Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados, is the epicenter, with its eclectic mix of rag-tag, shanty-style vendors hawking everything from homegrown vegetables, fruits, meat market, and more.

Further imagine, living on an island consisting of 11 parishes that exudes a variation of exploration, wellness, work-life balance, peace, and eternal bliss.

Basking underneath the Barbadian sun while taking a jog along Enterprise Beach before the start of your workday.  Catching weekend vibes while exploring the lush and provocative lands of the only parish named after a female, St. Lucy. Pushing yourself to new heights, while hiking some of Barbados most well-known hiking trails on the east coast. Enhancing your palette while exploring traditional Bajan dishes such as Pudding & Souse or Cou Cou & Flying Fish.

Are you tired of putting others first?

Are you ready to try something new?

Are you ready to rewrite the narrative for your life?

If you’ve answered yes to any of the above questions, then it’s your time. Time for you to step out on faith and join us on an adventure of a lifetime. The Journey To Expat Barbados Experience.

So, you’ve had your eye on a Barbados getaway for some time now, you followed our experiences that have spanned all corners of the world, you witnessed thousands of travelers grace our Instagram and other social media platforms, you pinned your life away on Pinterest planning the trip you work hard for and deserve, the desire to immerse yourself in a modern and classic culture has you up in arms with excitement, but there’s a hesitation.

What is it like traveling with Black Girls Travel Too? This is new territory for me so how can I be sure I’ll enjoy myself, and my closet loved ones are skeptical, in turn, having me question should I invest in this experience?

With Black Girls Travel Too, your hesitations are our motivations. As a premier black owned and operated traveling service we’ve dealt with our share of skepticism and prejudices early on, now we accredit our passion of going above and beyond a traveler’s expectations to ensuring you the invaluable experience you deserve to be a part of. That hesitation you may be experiencing is familiar to us as well. A stigma placed on women of color is that we are uncultured even undeserving of a life filled with jet-setting and pages of passport stamps.  Nothing could be further from the truth, so we decided to change the rules.

By cultivating only the best partnerships across the globe, investing in premier quality customer care teams, immersing in education and vetting the world’s most prized possession, a black woman to take trips of a lifetime with, your life is forever changed for the better.

We silenced the noise and lived up to no one’s expectations of our lives but our OWN!
